Join me at Lantern Cottage for a one-day workshop and learn my signature method
Come and discover how I interpret colour in a three-dimensional way, focusing on colour combinations that are grounded in the natural phenomena of highlight and shadow.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll apply the principles of colour perspective, placement and purpose to create your own stunning colour schemes, utilising designer fabrics and paints, and you’ll learn how to apply hues to transition harmoniously between rooms, and surfaces, in real-life conditions.
This immersive experience will completely change the way you see colour and deepen your understanding of the interplay between light and form, offering a professional advantage you can enjoy in your day-to-day work.
The workshop is suitable for interior designers or creatives who have prior experience working with colour or pattern and is a particularly beneficial progression for anyone who has completed Part 1 (Aesthetic Narrative).
Places are very limited, so be quick to book yours now.
My Colour Perspective, Placement and Purpose workshop will transform the way you work with colour
Join me for an engaging day that delves into the intricate and delicate relationship between colour, light, and form, aimed at those who want to take their skills in colour-work to the next level.
In this event, I showcase the successful and ground-breaking methods of combining colours that I developed for my own consultancy practice, one part of a way of working that I call the Delysian Colour System.
Using insights from personal studies, and my research into the illusion of three-dimensional highlights and shadows on a flat surface (as seen in architectural trompe l’œil), you’ll see examples around my home which, with the aid of presentation materials, demonstrate how my method can be applied to colour choice for adjoining rooms, and across different surface finishes.
Who is this event for?
The Colour Perspective, Placement and Purpose workshop is perfect for interior designers or creatives who have prior experience working with colour or pattern, or who have completed Part 1 (Aesthetic Narratives) and want to take their skills to the next level.
Gain a deep understanding of colour — how it behaves under variable natural light, and across different forms — that will help you use colour with confidence in your professional practice.
Learn my signature method, the Delysian Colour System, that will help you build successful colour combinations for your projects.
Take home my roadmap to selecting colour, and a colour scheme you’ll create in the afternoon workshop, under my tuition, at Lantern Cottage.
“Fiona’s workshop was both practical and inspiring. It gave me a clearer understanding of how to transition colour between spaces, work with different lighting conditions, and add depth and interest to my schemes. Seeing the concepts applied in real-life situations really helped bring the learning to life. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to improve the application of colour in their work.”
