Looking back at the previous colours I painted my home some years ago, I can see the beginnings of the Delysian Colour System emerging. It feels really special knowing that it has now manifested as a theory and method of working that I can share with others in the UK and overseas. Initially, I had concerns that no-one would take me seriously about the relativity of colour, emotion and the spaces we occupy. Now everybody is talking about it and that brings music to my ears. When I first started out as a colour consultanct, When I first started out as a colour consultanct, I encountered so many questions surrounding the process that I found I was thinking about these hours and days after my visits. I began to see a pattern emerge for what these were, and I guess It's not a coincidence I had been experimenting with colour in my own home during those years finding solutions. Much like an artist does with a brush, or a chef does with ingredients, there is a skill to understanding how to work with colour for interiors. And it begins with you, and your home. Your eyes, your engagement with the space, your experience of it all. I have been there time and time again and I know exactly how it feels to be overwhelmed with ideas and options.
