I founded The Colour Academy to give colour practitioners, from newcomers to seasoned professionals, the opportunity to grow personally, and technically, in their craft. It houses my Aesthetic Narrative course, and my Colour Perspective course (the UK’s only colour training hosted in a Grade 2 listed cottage).
Whether you’re taking your first steps in colour consulting, or seeking to define your colour system, the Academy offers much more than training — it’s somewhere to develop confidence, skills, and a distinct professional identity in the world of colour.

A completely unique approach to colour education with combined learning methods of experience-immersion, theory, and practice, applied over your chosen study duration. This is particularly useful for new designers or those wanting to take their time to process their notes and worksheets, or practice, in-between the two training days.
Discover how heritage, place and identity can inform schemes that make unique and nostalgic spaces to live in, as you interact with the colours and aesthetic of my Georgian cottage. Using your own case study, you will then produce a narrative profile and map, applying the principles taught in part 1 of the Delysian Colour System, to make your scheme.
Then, at a later date, complete the part 2 workshop on how to read colour in a three-dimensional way, focusing on combinations that are grounded in the natural phenomena of highlight and shadow. Learn how to apply the principles of colour perspective and placement to advance your Aesthetic Narrative scheme using designer fabrics and other surface materials.
